BLAPL No.2274 of 2022 Krushna Chandrar Sahu ....

Petitioner Mr.A.K. Nath, Advocate -versusState of Odisha ....

Opp. Party Mrs.Susamarani Sahoo, Addl. Standing Counsel

CORAM:

JUSTICE S.K. SAHOO Order No.

ORDER

26.08.2022 04.

This matter is taken up through Hybrid arrangement (video conferencing/physical mode).

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

This is an application for bail under section 439 of Cr.P.C. in connection with Angul P.S. Case No.14 of 2016 corresponding to C.T.(S) Case No.104-A of 2016 pending in the Court of learned Sessions Judge, Angul for the offences punishable under sections 364, 302, 201, 120-B of the Indian Penal Code.

The prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected by the learned Sessions Judge, Angul vide order dated 17.02.2022. It appears that the petitioner was granted interim bail in BLAPL No. 5512 of 2016 for a period of fifteen days, which was extended for another twenty days as per order dated

// 2 // 22.09.2017, but after availing the interim bail period, he did not surrender at right time.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been taken into judicial custody on 07.02.2022. In view of the conduct of the petitioner in not complying with the conditions of the interim bail order, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. The prayer for bail stands rejected. The learned trial Court is directed to expedite the trial.

The BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
