This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner as well as the learned Additional Government Advocate.

The Petitioner seeks a direction for grant of Grade Pay of Rs.5400/- in place of Rs.4800/- at the stage of 3rd RACP on completion of 30 years of continuous service with effect from 01.01.2013 under Revised assured Career Progression Scheme (RACPS) in accordance with the Odisha Revised Scale of Pay (ORSP) Rules, 2008 by modifying the earlier order at Annexure-6 with all other consequential financial benefits as has been granted in favour of other similar class of employees of the same department at Annexure-7.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner has filed a representation before the Principal Secretary to Government of Odisha, Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water
// 2 // Department, Opposite Party No.1 on 02.11.2021 and the said representation is pending as of now. Learned counsel for the Petitioner further submits that a direction be issued to the Opposite Party No.1 to consider and dispose of the representation of the Petitioner which is pending before him taking into consideration the Office Order dated 26.10.2021 under Annexure-7 within a stipulated time.

Learned Additional Government Advocate on the other hand submits that he has no objection if a direction is given to the Opposite Party No.1 to consider and dispose of the representation of the Petitioner within a stipulated time.

Considering the submissions of the learned counsel for both the parties this Court disposes of the writ application with a direction to the Opposite Party No.1 to consider and dispose of the representation of the Petitioner within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order. The Opposite Party No.1 shall consider the representation of the Petitioner strictly in accordance with law and dispose of the same by passing a reasoned and speaking order taking into account the Office Order under Annexure-7. The decision so taken on the representation of the Petitioner be communicated to the Petitioner within two weeks thereafter.

With the aforesaid observation, the writ application is disposed of.

Issue urgent certified copy as per Rules.
