Heard Mr.P.K.Behera, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.H.M.Dhal, learned Addl. Government Advocate. 3.
According to Mr.Behera, the petitioner is aggrieved by non-disposal of his application filed under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 styled as L.A. Misc. Case No. 127 of 2016 arising out of L.A.C. No. 1 of 2011 pending before the Zone Officer, Upper Indravati Irrigation Project, Kusumkhunti in the district of Kalahandi (opposite party no.2). In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to opposite party No.2 to dispose of the said case expeditiously.

Considering the submission made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the opposite party No.2 to dispose of the L.A. Misc. Case No. 127 of 2016 arising out of L.A.C. No. 1 of 2011 in accordance with law within a period of three months from
// 2 // the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner. It is further directed that in case the application of the petitioner under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 is allowed, and if there is no other legal impediment, the compensation amount be disbursed in favour of the petitioner within a period of two months thereafter. 5.
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. 6.
Urgent certified copy of the order be granted on proper application.
