1. This matter is taken up through virtual/physical mode.
2. The petitioner is the defaulting borrower and has prayed for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the Odisha Gramya Bank for considering his case to the prevailing OTS Policy, if any.
3. On the previous date, the learned counsel for the Bank has stated that the petitioner has not applied for any settlement under the OTS Scheme and the position is the same today.
Be that as it may, we are not inclined to issue any direction as claimed for in view of the recent judgment passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Bijnor Urban Cooperative Bank Limited, Bijnor and others Vrs. Meenal Agarwal and others, AIR
// 2 // 2022 SC 56. However, the petitioner is free to approach the Bank for proper remedy in accordance with law.
4. In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of.
