This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual /Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the parties.

This I.A. has been filed by the petitioner for modification of order dated 02.09.2022 passed in ABLAPL No.2799 of 2022. 4.
It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that due to illness of the petitioner, he had gone to Manipal Hospitals at Bangalore for the purpose of his medical check-up and while earlier he was undergoing treatment on the said hospital. Thereafter, he was planning to surrender before the learned court below. While he was going to surrender before the learned trial court i.e. District & Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Sambalpur in T.R. Case No.27 of 2021. It is further submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that due to ongoing strike of the Sambalpur Bar Association, the court work is paralyzed and is not functioning. Therefore, there is difficulty on the part of the petitioner to surrender at the moment.

Considering the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner, time of surrender is extended for a period of eight weeks from today. However, as an interim measure, it is also directed that the petitioner shall not be arrested for a period of eights. 6.
The I.A. is disposed of accordingly.
Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
