This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement (virtual/physical mode).

The petitioner company inter alia engaged in the business of manufacturing, processing and bottling of IMFL in different brands has raised a grievance that the Excise Commissioner was not taking a decision upon an application moved by the petitioner for permission to destroy old stocks lying in the warehouse, which had become unfit for human consumption.

At the time of hearing, learned counsel for the parties state that the present Writ Petition has become infructuous in view of an order dated 21st June, 2022 having been passed by the competent authority in the aforesaid record.

In view of the above, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
