2. Even though the petitioners-State have challenged the legality and propriety of the order dated 17.06.2014 passed by the Odisha Administrative Tribunal, Bhubaneswar in O.A. No.1161 of 2013 to consider the case of the opp. party No.1 for promotion, learned counsel for the opp. party No.1 states that in the meantime, the opp. party No.1 has got promotion and retired from service on attaining the age of superannuation and that by efflux of time the writ petition has become infructuous.

In view of the above, the writ petition is disposed of, as infructuous.
