This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

This writ petition has been with the following relief: "It is therefore, humbly prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to :- i) Direct the opp. Parties to release the differential arrear salary of the Petitioner w.e.f. 1.1.2006 by fixing his scale of pay as per Orissa Revised Scale of Pay Rules, 2008 forthwith as the Petitioner is a retired employee and facing much financial difficulties to maintain his family as well as for higher study of his daughter;

// 2 // ii) Pass such other order(s) or issue direction(s) as may be deemed fit and proper in the bonafide interest of Justice;

And for which act of kindness, the Petitioner shall as in duty bound, ever pray.

Looking to the limited request involved herein and as this Court finds, the representation of the Petitioner involving the matter vide Annexure-4 since pending for consideration, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case disposes of the writ petition directing the Block Development Officer, Phulbani, Opposite Party No.5 to look into the grievance of the Petitioner vide Annexure-4 and take a decision as appropriate, taking into consideration the development through Annexures-3 and 5 and also the plea taken in the writ petition, as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order so also copy of the writ petition by the Petitioner. 5.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.

Issue urgent certified copy as per rules.
