1. This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement.

2. Heard.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a regular Primary School Teacher, Level-V of Elementary Cadre under Zilla Parishad, Kandhamal under Block Education Officer, Phiringia. In the meantime, he has applied for intradistrict transfer from Jajespanga Upper Primacy School, Jajespanga under Phiringia Block to Phulbani Municipal area. Grievance of the petitioner is that the location of his school is around 50 Kms. from his native place Phulbani and in order to take care of his old ailing mother he is making to and fro journey around 100 Kms. per day which causes severe physical suffering due to his Sciatic problem with multiple back pain. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that since the petitioner has submitted Online application for transfer through Odisha School Teacher Transfer Portal and the said application has not yet been decided, the concerned authority i.e. opposite

// 2 // party No.3- District Education Officer, Kandhamal be directed to decide the same.

4. In such view of the matter, the opposite party No.3- District Education Officer, Kandhamal is directed to dispose of the Online application for transfer of the petitioner by passing a reasoned order within a period of one month from the date of receipt/ communication of this order.

5. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of.

6. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
