Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

Considering the fact that the seized contraband is more than commercial quantity being 293 Kg 600 grams, this Court is not inclined to allow the prayer for bail, which is therefore, rejected. Further considering the fact that the petitioner is in custody since October, 2018 and trial is yet to begin, the trial Court is directed to try and dispose of the case as early as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.

BLAPL is accordingly rejected.
