This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement (virtual/physical mode).

The three petitioners claim themselves to be slum dwellers had approached this Court for a direction to the Department of Urban and Housing Development and Cuttack Municipal Corporation for their rehabilitation before evicting them from their unauthorized occupation of Government land for a long period of time.

The writ petition was disposed of on 15.09.2010 with a direction to the appropriate authorities to take necessary measures for the rehabilitation. As the

// 2 // directions were not complied, the petitioners filed contempt bearing CONTC No.445 of 2015 which was got dismissed as withdrawn on 19.06.2018 to pursue the claim before the authorities concerned.

4. The present contempt is the second contempt filed for the alleged disobedience of the original order dated 15.09.2010.

5. At the time of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioners has filed a Memo in Court indicating therein that the petitioners do not want to proceed with the case and pray for withdrawal of the same.

6. In view of the Memo filed, the CONTC is dismissed as withdrawn.
