2. Petitioner was/is a retail licensee of an IMFL 'OFF' Shop at Baunsatafa, in the district of Mayurbhanj.

3. By filing the present writ petition, a mandamus is sought for directing the Excise Authorities to permit the shortfall in lifting of MGQ for the Excise Year 202122 on account of closure of the Shops due to COVID-19 pandemic, in the succeeding Excise Year 2022-23.

4. At the time of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner states that in the light of a general order dated 29.03.2022 passed by the Government in the Department of Excise permitting the short drawn MGQ quota in the current Excise Year 2022-23, nothing

5. In view of the above, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
