This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned State counsel.

The grievance of the petitioner in the present writ petition is that his candidature for the post of Gram Rozgar Sevaks (GRS) for the District of Ganjam has been rejected on grounds which are ex-facie not tenable. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that his name appears in the draft reject list of candidates for GRS recruitment 2021 at serial No.1024.

On perusal of the procedure of scrutiny of GRS as per the notification issued by the DRDA Ganjam, Chhatrapur dated 03.07.2021 it is seen that the objections of ineligible candidates ought be disposed of within a period of 7days by the screening committee after such objection is submitted within 15 days of
// 2 // the publication of the reject list. It is submitted that within the stipulated time the petitioner has submitted his objection to DRDA vide annexure-5.

It is stated that in the said objection the petitioner's name appears at serial No.8.

Taking into account the procedure of scrutiny this Court directs the Opposite Party No.3 to consider such representation of the petitioner within two weeks from the date of receipt of the order of this Court after giving her an opportunity of hearing.

The petitioner undertakes to file a copy of the writ petition along with the copy of this order before the Opposite Party No.3, DRDA by 31st of March, 2022 and the Opposite Party No.3 will take a decision vis-à-vis the contention of the petitioner as stated in the objection letter at annexure-5 adhered to herein above within two weeks thereafter by 15.04.2022. 8.
Till 15.04.2022 one post of GRS in the District of Ganjam in terms of advertisement at Annexure-1 shall not be filled up.

With such direction(s) the writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted as per rule.
