1. This matter is taken up through virtual mode.
2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.
3. The Petitioner is in custody since 9th September, 2020 in connection with Bonai P.S. Case No.121/2020 corresponding to S.T. Case No.4/2021 (G.R. Case No.506/2020) pending in the court of learned Addl. Sessions Judge, Bonai for the alleged commission of the offence under Sections 302/307 of the I.P.C.

4. Having regarding to the nature of accusations and the existence of materials prima facie in support thereof, I am not inclined to allow the prayer for bail, which is, therefore, rejected.
5. However, this being a case of the year 2020, learned court below is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same within a period of six months. It shall be open to the Petitioner to renew his prayer if the trial is not concluded within the aforesaid period.
