This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

The Petitioner while working as VLW/PEO in the establishment of Block Development Officer, Betnoti Block, Mayurbhanj, retired on 31.01.2022. It appears, the pension, pensionary benefits and arrears pension has not been released to the Petitioner. As such, the Petitioner has come to this Court challenging the inaction of the Opposite Parties in not granting such benefits. 4.
In view of the limited grievance of the Petitioner, this Court disposes of the writ petition with a direction to the Opposite Parties to release the pension, pensionary benefits and arrears pension in favour of the Petitioner within a period of two months from the date of communication of an authenticated copy of this order by the Petitioner, failing which, the persons responsible for delay in releasing the pension, pensionary benefits and arrears pension in
// 2 // favour of the Petitioner shall be liable to pay interest @ 18% per annum, if there is no legal impediment.

It is the responsibility of the Petitioner to serve an authenticated copy of this order on the Competent Authority within a period of ten days, as undertaken.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.
