Laka Madkami v. State Of Odisha
IN THE HIGH COURT OF ORISSA AT CUTTACK
BLAPL No. 2515 of 2022 Laka Madkami ....
Petitioner Mr. R.L. Pattnaik, Advocate - Versus - State of Odisha ....
Opposite Party Mr. P.K. Maharaj, Addl. Standing Counsel
CORAM:
JUSTICE SASHIKANTA MISHRA
ORDER
05.04.2022 1.
This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.
Order No.
1.
2.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.
3.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner did not have any relation whatsoever or acquaintance with other two persons, despite which police registered a single case, whereas only 21 kg of ganja was found from the possession of the petitioner.
4.
This question is to be raised and answered at the time of trial. This Court finds prima face materials to show the complicity of the petitioner in the occurrence.
5.
Considering the fact that the seized contraband is more than commercial quantity, being 64 Kgs of Ganja, I am not inclined to allow the prayer for bail, which is therefore, rejected. 6.
BLAPL is accordingly rejected.
