This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual / Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioners and learned counsel for the State.

Learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that, out of eight witnesses in the case, six have already been examined. So far as the other two are concerned, it is submitted that their examination is being delayed and no steps are being taken by the prosecution to examine the said witnesses and the Petitioners are unnecessarily languishing in jail custody.

In such view of the matter, the learned counsel for the Petitioners does not want to press this bail application at this juncture, seeking liberty for the Petitioners to move a fresh bail application, if the trial is not concluded within a time to be stipulated by this Court.

Considering such submission, the learned trial court is directed to expedite and conclude the trial of the aforesaid case as expeditiously as possible, preferably within three months from today. In the event, trial is not concluded within the aforesaid stipulated period, the Petitioners are at liberty to move bail application afresh, and the same shall be considered and disposed of by the learned trial court on its own merit in accordance with law. 6.

The BLAPL is disposed of accordingly.
