Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 01.12.2021 in connection with Bharak Rural P.S. Case No.498 of 2021 corresponding to G.R. Case No.3018 of 2021 pending in the Court of learned S.D.J.M., Bhadrak for the alleged commission of offence under Sections 353/307/34 of IPC.

Considering the nature of accusations to the effect that the petitioner while being in police custody attempted to escape and also tried to severely injure the police personnel by opening fire from a gun which he had snatched from them, I am not inclined to allow the prayer for bail, which is therefore, rejected. It is open to the petitioner to renew his prayer after commitment of the case. 5.

BLAPL is accordingly rejected.
