1. The prayer in the present petition that the predecessor in interest of the Petitioners should have been paid the back wages dating back to the date of conviction (which was subsequently converted into an acquittal) is not entertainable in view of the judgment of the Supreme Court of India in Baldev Singh v. Union of India, AIR 2006 SC 531. The petition is accordingly dismissed.
2. The LCR be returned forthwith.
