Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

Considering the submissions, materials on record and in particular the statement of the victim recorded under Section 164 Cr.P.C., I am not inclined to allow the prayer for bail, which is therefore, rejected.

However, learned court below shall do well to expedite the trial having regard to the fact that the petitioner is in custody since 07.06.2020. Learned court below shall make effort to examine the victim at the first instance, if not already examined. 5.

BLAPL is accordingly rejected.
