The six petitioners claiming themselves to be the residents of different villages under Pathara Gram Panchayat, District-Ganjam have filed the instant Writ Petition (PIL) seeking a direction to the official authorities to shut down the illicit and illegal liquor business being operated by Bibhu Prasad Dalai/O.P. No.6 beyond his licence area of his Out Still (OS) Shop, being in clear violation of the Odisha Excise Act, 2008 read with the Odisha Excise Rules, 2017. As the averments in the writ petition are of general nature without any credible material placed to substantiate the plea, learned counsel for the petitioners prays for permission to withdraw the writ petition.
