1. This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement.

2. Heard.

3. In this writ petition, the petitioner seeks a direction from this Court to the opposite parties to consider his case for absorption/ rehabilitation to the post of Ganasikshyak, as per the Government Resolution dated 16.02.2008 issued by the Government of Orissa, Department of School and Mass Education.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was selected as Education Volunteer under the Education Guarantee Scheme in due process of selection as per the guidelines and was posted in Burodihi ES center on 10.08.2001 under Rengali Block, in the district of Sambapur. After abolition of the Scheme, the petitioner was disengaged with effect from 20.11.2006. Later, the State Government framed a scheme to absorb the disengaged volunteers in the State. Accordingly, all the Education Volunteers had been engaged as Ganasikshyak except the petitioner because he had not approached the appropriate authority. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner has made a representation before the opposite party

// 2 // No.3- Chief Executive Officer-cum-Collector, Sambalpur on 06.07.2021 for consideration of his case regarding grant of benefit as per the Government Resolution dated 16.02.2008 issued by the Government of Orissa, Department of School and Mass Education. He further submits that since the representation of the petitioner is pending since 06.07.2021 before the opposite party No.3- Chief Executive Officer-cum-Collector, Sambalpur, let a direction be made to the authority to dispose of the same within a stipulated time.

In view of such facts narrated above, the opposite party No.3Chief Executive Officer-cum-Collector, Sambalpur is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner by passing a reasoned order within a period of one month from the date of production/presentation of a certified copy of this order along with a copy of this writ petition.

6. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of.

7. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
