This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

The petitioner is an accused in CT (S) Case No.21 of 2020 arising out of G.R. Case No.2167 of 2019 on the files of learned Additional District & Sessions Judge, Angul, corresponding to Purunakote P.S. Case No.62 of 2019, under Sections 302 of IPC and is in custody since 16.11.2019. 4.

Taking into account the nature of allegations and the role ascribed to the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to entertain present BLAPL. The Court in seisin over the matter is requested to conclude the trial within a period of 6 months from the date of receipt/production of copy of this order.

It shall be open to the petitioner to renew his prayer in the event trial is not concluded within the time stipulated and the delay is not attributable to him.

Accordingly, the BLAPL stands disposed of.
