THE CHIEF JUSTICE JUSTICE R.K. PATTANAIK
ORDER
28.06.2022 Order No.
05.
1. The limited ground on which the Workman has filed the present petition challenging an award dated 27th March 2012 is that the compensation amount of Rs.45,000/- awarded by the Labour Court in lieu of reinstatement in service is inadequate.
2. It is seen from the facts of the case that the Workman claimed to have worked with the Management for a period of four years on a monthly wage of Rs.600/-.
3. In the circumstances, the Court does not consider the compensation amount as awarded to be wholly inadequate warranting any interference.
4. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. (Dr. S. Muralidhar) Chief Justice (R.K. Pattanaik) Judge S.K. Guin
