1. This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement.

2. Heard.

3. In this writ petition, the petitioner has challenged the order dated 20.05.2016 passed by the opposite party No.3- District Education Officer, Jajpur rejecting his claim for release of arrear salary from 01.04.1999 to 23.05.2008 even he has discharged his duties during the said period. He also seeks a direction from this Court to the authority to take a decision in the light of the judgment dated 30.10.2017 passed by this Court in W.P.(C) No.3472 of 2014.

4. In course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed a representation before the opposite party No.3- District Education Officer, Jajpur for payment of arrear salary for the aforesaid period which is pending since 20.12.2021. Hence, the opposite party No.3- District Education Officer, Jajpur may be directed to dispose of the representation within a time to be stipulated by this Court.

5. In such view of the matter, the opposite party No.3- District Education Officer, Jajpur is directed to dispose of the

// 2 // representation of the petitioner by passing a reasoned order within a period of one month from the date of production/presentation of a certified copy of this order along with a copy of this writ petition.

6. Accordingly, this writ petition stands disposed of.

7. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
