This matter is taken up through Hybrid arrangement (video conferencing/physical mode).

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned counsel for the State.

This is an application under section 439 of Cr.P.C. in connection with S.T. Case No.15 of 2017 arising out of Pipili P.S. Case No.175 of 2017 pending in the Court of learned 2nd Additional Sessions Judge, Puri for alleged commission of offences punishable under sections 147/148/341/506/302/323/294/379/149 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner moved an application for bail before the Court of learned 2nd Additional Sessions Judge, Puri

// 2 // which was rejected on 23.02.2022.

Perused the status report dated 03.10.2022 submitted by the learned trial Court from which it appears that the case is at the stage of recording of accused statement and the learned trial Court has mentioned therein that he will conclude the trial within two months.

In view of the stage of the trial, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail.

Accordingly, the BLAPL stands dismissed.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
