Mr. S. Das, learned counsel for opposite party no.3 contended that in the meantime the petitioner has already got promotion to the post of Establishment Officer, which carries higher scale of pay than that of Assistant Law Officer. Since the post of Assistant Law Officer is an ex-cadre post, no promotional avenue is available. Therefore, the petitioner may not be interested to pursue the matter.
