1. Learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner states that the villagers have complained against the illegal sand mining that took place on the bank of river Brahmani at Durgapur Mouza. However, the learned counsel for the Petitioner was unable to produce before the Court the proof of the said representations having been actually submitted to the Tahasildar, Rasulpur, the Collector, Jajpur or the Member Secretary, State Environment Impact Assessment Authority, Odisha.

2. Consequently, the Court is unable to issue direction to the above authorities for considering the representations.

3. Nevertheless, it will be open to the Petitioner to make fresh representations to the authorities concerned and after following up on such representations to seek appropriate remedies as may be available to the Petitioner in accordance with law.

4. The writ petition is disposed of in the above terms.
