This matter is taken up through Hybrid Mode.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State.

The Petitioner is an accused in connection with Thakurgarh P.S. Case No. 151 of 2021 corresponding to C.T. (S) Case No. 7 of 2021 pending on the file of learned Addl. Sessions Judge, Athamallik for the alleged commission of offence under Section 302 of the I.P.C.

Being aggrieved by the rejection of his application for bail U/s 439 Cr. P.C. by the learned Addl. Sessions Judge, Athamallik, by order dated 03.03.2022, the present BLAPL has been filed.

Taking into the account the submission at the Bar that in the meanwhile there has been substantial progress in the trial, this Court is not inclined to entertain this BLAPL at this stage. Accordingly, the same stands rejected.

Learned court in seisin over the matter is called upon to expedite the trial and make an effort to conclude the trial within a period of two months from the date of receipt/production of the certified copy of this order.
