Mr. Puspalaka, learned advocate appears on behalf of petitioner. He submits, father of his client had fixed deposit with the bank. His client was named as nominee. His client's father died and the deposit has matured. In addition to fixed deposit some pension money is also lying with the bank. His client approached the bank and in spite of filing application for disbursement of the proceeds in the FDR and bank accounts, the bank remained unmoved. His client then made representation dated 3rd December, 2021 to the Zonal Manager (opposite party no.1). He submits, there be direction upon said opposite party to deal with his client's said representation within stipulated time.

Considering the prayers and submissions made, there is no necessity to direct issuance of notice. Instead, opposite party no.1 is directed to deal with and dispose of said representation dated 3rd December, 2021, within two weeks of communication. Either disbursements are to be made to petitioner or he be informed as to why not.

The writ petition is disposed of.
