Heard Ms. B.Panda, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. A.K. Nanda, learned Additional Government Advocate. 2.

According to Ms. Panda, the grievance of the petitioner in this case is that though he has filed a complaint dated 10.02.2022 under Annexue-5 before the I.I.C., Agarapada Police Station (Opposite Party No. 4) and though the same reveals commission of cognizable offences, however, the same has not yet been registered. He further submits that against such inaction though the petitioner approached the Superintendent of Police, Bhadrak (Opposite Party No.3) by filing a grievance petition on 18.02.2022 a copy of which has been filed along with a memo dated 28.06.2022 before this Court, however, till date, things have not improved. Finding no way out, the petitioner sent a copy of the complaint dated 10.02.2022 and grievance petition dated 18.02.2022 to the Opposite Party Nos. 4 and 3 respectively vide Registered Post on 18.02.2022. But all to no avail.

In such background, Ms. Panda prays that a direction be issued to the Superintendent of Police, Bhadrak ( Opposite Party No.3) to take a decision on the grievance petition of the petitioner dated 18.02.2022 as indicated above within a specific time period. 4.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Superintendent of Police, Bhadrak ( Opposite Party No.3) to take a decision on the above noted grievance petition of the petitioner in accordance with law keeping in the mind the decision of the Supreme Court in the case of Lalita Kumari v. Govt. of U.P. & Others reported in AIR 2014 SC 187 within a period of four weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner. While presenting a copy of this Order, the petitioner is directed to submit copies of complaint and the grievance petition to Opposite Party No.3.

The CRLMP is accordingly disposed of.
