This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).

Heard learned counsel for the Petitioners as well as learned counsel for the State.

The writ petition filed with the following prayer: "It is therefore, humbly prayed that this Hon'ble Court may graciously be pleased to :- i) Direct the opp. Parties to give promotion to the petitioners to the post of Revenue Inspector by convening a Review DPC from the date when the juniors i.e. opp. Party No.3 to 5 have been promoted vide Annexure-5 with all financial and consequential benefits taking into consideration Govt. Notification dtd.21.4.1994 and earlier decision dtd.27.01.2018 vide Annexure-7 & 8 and thereby quash the order of promotion dated 10.01.2022 as at Annexure-5 as the same is violative of Section 10 of the ORV Act, 1975."

Learned counsel for the Petitioners submits that ventilating their grievance, Petitioners have filed a representation before the Collector, Koraput, Opposite Party No.2, dated 11.2.2022. It is submitted that the said representation is pending before the Authority till date and no decision has been taken on such representation.

Learned counsel for the State on the other hand submits that he has no objection if a direction is given to the Authority to consider and dispose of the said representation of the Petitioners within specific period of time.

Considering the limited nature of grievance and considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the Opposite Party No.2 to consider the representation of the Petitioners dated 11.2.2022 (Annexure-9) strictly in accordance with law taking into consideration Annexures-7 and 8 within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. The Opposite Party No.2 shall dispose of the same by passing a speaking and reasoned order. Decision so taken be communicated to the Petitioners within a period of two weeks thereafter. 7.
With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of.
