Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 02.02.2022 in connection with Bhanjanagar P.S. Case No.70 of 2022 corresponding to Special G.R. Case No.08 of 2022 pending in the Court of learned Addl. Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Bhanjanagar for the alleged commission of offence under Section 20(b)(ii)(C) of NDPS Act.

The prosecution allegation is that the petitioner was found to be in possession of contraband ganja weighing 25 kg 310 grams while she was riding pillion in a TVS Scooty. 5.

It is submitted that the contraband ganja belonged to the person who was riding the Scooty and the petitioner being a lady had no knowledge about the same.

Considering the submissions as above, the materials on record, and taking into account the period of detention in custody, I am inclined to allow the prayer for bail. Let the petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the court in seisin over the matter may deem fit and proper to impose including the condition that he shall personally appear before the trial Court on

each date of posting of the case without fail. 7.

BLAPL is accordingly disposed of.
