1. The prayer in the present petition is for a direction to the Order No.

Opposite Party Nos.3 and 4 to allot land in favour of the Petitioners based on a patta issued in Lease Case No.1276 of 1976 under Section 6 of the Orissa Land Reforms Act.

2. The claim was based on the fact that the Petitioners are entitled to allotment of Jawan Lease. Due to the pendency of the present writ petition the policy of the State Government has undergone changed. The system of allotting Jawan Lease has been withdrawn and only monetary compensation is contemplated. Consequently, the prayers in the present writ petition cannot be granted. It will nevertheless open to the Petitioner to approach the State Government for appropriate reliefs under the present policy.
