Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 17.03.2022 in connection with Jajpur P.S. Case No.428 of 2021 corresponding to C.T. Case No. 2501 of 2021 pending in the Court of learned S.D.J.M., Jajpur, for the alleged commission of offence under Sections 302/34 of IPC.

Considering the severity of allegations and the existence of materials prima facie in support thereof, I am not inclined to allow the prayer for bail which is therefore rejected. It is however open to the petition to renew his prayer after commitment of the case to the

Court of Sessions.

BLAPL is accordingly rejected.
