Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.

The petitioner is in custody since 31.03.2022 in connection with Jaleswar P.S. Case No.370 of 2021 corresponding to Special Case No.314 of 2021 pending in the Court of learned Sessions Judge-cumSpecial Judge, Balasore for the alleged commission of offence under Sections 341/294/186/332/353/307/34 of IPC read with Section 21(b)/29 of N.D.P.S. Act.

Considering the fact that the seized contraband is less than commercial quantity being 18 grams of brown sugar, I am inclined to allow the prayer for bail. Let the petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the court in seisin over the matter may deem fit and proper to impose including the condition that he shall personally appear before the trial Court on each date of posting of the case without fail.
