The petitioner is in custody since 25.03.2022 in connection with Bhubaneswar Mahila P.S. Case No.30 of 2022 corresponding to C.T. Case No.1451 of 2022 pending in the Court of learned S.D.J.M., Bhubaneswar for the alleged commission of offence under Sections 419/420/467/468/471/494/120-B & 34 of IPC. 4.

The allegation against the petitioner is that she happens to be the sister of one Ramsh Chandra Swain, who is the principal accused in the case. The said Ramesh Chandra Swain duped the informant by stating that he is working as Deputy Director General, Health being posted at Bangalore and on such basis the informant married him, whereupon the said Ramesh Chandra Swain managed to convince the informant to transfer substantial amount of money to his account for different reasons. In so far as the present petitioner is concerned she being the sister of the principal accused, is said to have assisted him in the entire incident. As per the FIR,

the only reference to the petitioner appears to be that the informant had visited her house on some occasions.

Having regard to the above facts, the other materials on record and taking into account the period of detention of the petitioner in custody, I am inclined to allow the prayer for bail. Let the petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as the court in seisin over the matter may deem fit and proper to impose including the condition that she shall appear before the Court in seisin over the mater on each of posting of the case and in case of a single default, necessary orders shall be passed by the said Court to take her to custody again.
