This matter is taken up today in the 2nd National Lok Adalat.

Ms.Smrutirekha Das@Baral, Informant-Opposite Party No.2 is present in person in Court today along with her Aadhar Card. Xerox copy of the Aadhar Card is tagged in CRLMC No.989 of 2022.

During the course of hearing, the Informant submits that out of misunderstanding, she has lodged the FIR against her in-laws. Further, it is submitted that the matter has been amicably settled between the parties and she is staying with her husband peacefully and living a happy marital life. In such view of the matter, she does not want to proceed further in the matter.

Considering the aforesaid submissions and keeping in view that the larger interest of justice, this Court observes that no useful purpose would be served in allowing further continuance of the criminal proceeding between the parties. Therefore, by exercising power under Section 320(6) of Cr.P.C. this Court permits the offences under Sections 323/325/341/506/34 of I.P.C. to be compounded. Further, the alleged offences u/s.498-/307/120-B of I.P.C. are hereby quashed by invoking power u/s.482 of Cr.P.C. Accordingly, the G.R. Case No.1682 of 2020 pending in the court of J.M.F.C.(R), Cuttack ends in acquittal and the Petitioner is hereby acquitted of all charges.

In view of the above, the G.R. Case No.1682 of 2020 stands closed. CRLMC thus stands allowed.
