CORAM:

JUSTICE JASWANT SINGH JUSTICE M.S. RAMAN ORDER (Oral) 11.07.2022 Order No.

02.

1.

This matter is taken up through hybrid arrangement (virtual/physical mode).

2.

Since the licence for Country Spirit for the Excise Year 2019-2020 was not renewed, the petitioner filed the present Contempt for the alleged violation of the interim order dated 29.03.2019 passed in the pending W.P.(C) No.6824 of 2019 restraining taking up any coercive action.

3. Mr. Samantaray states that the non-renewal did not amount to taking of any coercive action, and be that as it may, the main Writ Petition itself was disposed of as withdrawn, thereby effacing the alleged impact of the aforesaid interim order.

4. At the time of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner states that the present Contempt has become infructuous.

5.

In view of the above, the CONTC is dismissed as infructuous.
