This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned counsel for the State.

The petitioner is an accused in G.R. Case No.63 of 2020 arising out of Mohana P.S. Case No.188 of 2020, pending on the files of learned Special Judge, Gajpati, Paralakhemundi, under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C)/25/29 of the NDPS Act and is in custody since 04.11.2020.

Taking into account the nature of allegations and contraband seized being beyond the commercial quantity and the petitioner being a flight risk, this Court is not inclined to entertain this application.

Learned Court in seisin over the matter is called upon to conclude the trial within a period of four months from the date of receipt/production of the certified copy of this order. 6.
It shall be open for the petitioner to renew his prayer if the trial is not concluded within the time stipulated. (V. NARASINGH) Judge Santoshi
