Heard Mr. P.K. Behera, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. H.M. Dhal, learned Additional Government Advocate. 2.

According to Mr. Behera, the petitioner is aggrieved by the non-disposal of her application filed under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 styled as L.A. Misc. Case No.146 of 2016 arising out of L.A.C. No.01 of 2011 pending before the Zone Officer, Upper Indravati Irrigation project, Kusumkhunti (opposite party No.2). In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to the opposite party No.2 to dispose of the above noted case expeditiously.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the opposite party No.2 to dispose of the L.A. Misc. Case No.146 of 2016 arising out of L.A.C No.01 of 2011 in accordance with law within a period of three months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order and communicate the

// 2 // result of such exercise to the petitioner. It is further directed that in case the application of the petitioner filed under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 is allowed, and if there is no other legal impediment, the compensation amount be disbursed in favour of the petitioner within a period of two months thereafter.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. 5.
