1. This matter is taken up through Hybrid mode. Order No.

2. Heard learned counsel for the parties.

3. The grievance of the Petitioner in this writ petition is that his vehicle bearing registration number OR-04-M-5718 has been seized by the Opposite Party as he had not paid the tax and allegedly committed certain offences under the M.V Tax for which besides the tax penalty was imposed on him. Now the Petitioner is ready and willing to pay the tax and also make an application to compound the offence allegedly committed under the M.V Act and as such make a prayer to direct the Opposite Party to dispose of his application within a stipulated period

// 2 // and on depositing the tax and the amount as compounded, the aforesaid vehicle be released in favour of the Petitioner.

Considering the facts and the submissions made, this Court disposes of this writ petition with a direction to the R.T.O, Keonjhar to take decision on the application of the Petitioner as the Petitioner is ready and willing to compound the offence and in that event if the Petitioner pays the amount of fine as compounded for commission of the offence, the aforesaid vehicle be released in his favour. Such decision must be taken not later than seven days from the date of production of a certified copy of the order.

5. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
