This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

The grievance of the Petitioner in this contempt petition is with regard to inaction of Tahasildar, Bhubaneswar in proceeding with Demarcation Case No.164 of 2021 and disposing of the same.

Taking into consideration the submission made by learned counsel for the Petitioner, this Court vide order dated 18th May, 2022 directed learned State Counsel to take instruction in the matter. Mr. Mishra, learned Additional Standing by filing a copy of the written instruction issued by the Tahasildar, Bhubaneswar on 18th May, 2022 intimated that on receipt of the application for demarcation of the land in question, the date of demarcation was fixed to 17th May, 2021, but due to resurgence of COVID-19, the demarcation could not be taken up. He, therefore, requests for three weeks time to complete the demarcation. 4.

In view of the above, it is directed that the Tahasildar, Bhubaneswar-Opposite Party No.2 shall take appropriate steps for early disposal of Demarcation Case No. 164 of 2021 as

// 2 // expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six weeks from today giving opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned, if there is no legal impediment.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
