1. This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.
2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner and learned Addl. Standing Counsel for the State.
3. The Petitioner is in custody since 4th July, 2021, in connection with Tarava P.S. Case No.127/2021 corresponding to G.R. (Spl) Case No.12/2021 pending in the court of learned Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Sonepur for the alleged commission of the offence under Section 20(b)(ii)(C)/25/29 of N.D.P.S. Act.

4. It is alleged that the Petitioner was transporting 47.809 kgs. of contraband ganja in a Pick-up van when the said vehicle was intercepted by the Police. It is submitted that the Petitioner is a passenger of the vehicle and had no knowledge of the contents of the bags kept in the Pick-up van.
5. Considering the above facts and taking into account the period of detention in custody without commencement of trial, I am inclined to allow the prayer for bail. Let the Petitioner be released on bail on such terms and conditions as may be imposed by the court in seisin over the matter in the aforesaid case including the conditions that he shall furnish cash security of Rs.40,000/-(Rupees Forty Thousand), and he shall appear before the trial court on each date of posting of the case, failing which it shall be open to the said court to pass necessary orders to take him to custody again.
6. The BLAPL is disposed of.
7. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
