Heard Mr. K.C. Dash, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. D.K. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel. 2.

According to Mr. Dash, the petitioner is aggrieved by the manner in which investigations are going on in connection with Mancheswar P.S. Case No.83 of 2022 registered for commission of offences under Sections 294/323/506/34 of I.P.C. and Chandrasekharpur P.S. Case No.127 of 2022 registered for commission of offences under Sections 341/323/506/34 of I.P.C. lodged at the instance of the petitioner. He further submits that though highlighting all his grievances, the petitioner has approached the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar (opposite party No.3) on 11.04.2022 by filing a grievance petition vide Annexure-2 and though the receipt of the same has been acknowledged by the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police on 13.04.2022, however, till date nothing has been done in the matter. In such background, he prays that a direction be issued to the Deputy Commissioner of

// 2 // Police, Bhubaneswar to take a decision on the grievance petition of the petitioner within a specific time period. 3.

Considering the submissions made and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneswar to take a decision on the grievance petition dated 11.04.2022 of the petitioner under Annexure-2 in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if in the meantime, the same has not been disposed of and communicate the result of such exercise to the petitioner.

Accordingly, this CRLMP is disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
