Heard Mr. B.B. Routray, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Mr. P.K. Mohanty, learned Additional Standing Counsel for Opposite Party - State.

The Petitioner has prayed for quashing of the criminal proceeding registered against him in G.R. Case No.1086 of 2020 for alleged offence under Section 399/402 of I.P.C. and Section 25 of the Arms Act.

Upon hearing both parties and considering the circumstances of the case and the probable presence of the Petitioner on the spot, I do not see any merit in the challenge for quashing of the proceeding against the Petitioner. The CRLMC is accordingly dismissed. 4.

At this stage it is submitted by learned counsel for the Petitioner to permit the Petitioner to surrender before the concerned court.

In the event Petitioner surrenders within a period of four weeks from today and prays for his release on bail, his prayer for bail shall be considered in accordance with law.
