1. 1. This matter is taken up by hybrid mode.
2. The petitioner prays for a direction to the opposite party nos.2 and 3-authorities of Utkal University, Vanivihar, Bhubaneswar to allow her to appear in the special examination to clear her backlogs in the "five year B.A.,LL.B (Hons) 3rd Semester Examination".
3. It is further submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner had made a representation as at Annexure-4 dated 12.4.2022 to the University Authority requesting for allowing her to appear in the examination to clear the back papers. It is further submitted that the authority may be directed to consider the representation and hold the examination for the petitioner as well as for all other similarly situated students so as to enable them to clear the back papers of the 3rd Semester Examination of the "five year B.A., LL.B.(Hons)".
4. Considering the grievance of the petitioner, for the fact that the petitioner had personal difficulty as well as the impact of pandemic, the authorities are directed to consider the grievance of the petitioner as well as similarly situated
students sympathetically and make arrangement in accordance with the relevant Rules/University statute for holding of examination to allow the students to clear the back papers.
5. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
6. The petitioner shall make a representation afresh enclosing copy of the earlier representation and all other relevant documents relied upon by the petitioner to be considered by the authority and the authority shall do well to take a decision on the same in accordance with the prevailing Rules as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of certified copy of this order.
