1. The Petitioners as well as the contesting Opposite Parties have attained the age of superannuation. They have all got their respective promotions. The issue only being of inter se seniority, the Court does not consider it appropriate to interfere in the matter particularly since the petition has been pending over 19 years. Interfering with seniority at this stage will create more problems than it can resolve.

2. Consequently, the writ petition is disposed of in the above terms.
