Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel for the informant and learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State.

The Petitioner is an accused in connection with Nilgiri P.S. Case No.311 of 2020 corresponding to Special Case No. 247 of 2020 on the file of learned Ad-hoc Addl. Sessions Judge (FTSC), Balasore, registered for the alleged commission of offence under Sections 363/366/376(3)/376(D) of the I.P.C. and Sec.6 of the POCSO Act.

Since trial has commenced and taking into account the statement of the victim, which is on record, this Court is not inclined to entertain this bail application at this stage. .

Accordingly, the BLAPL stands rejected.

Since the petitioner is stated to be in custody from 10.09.2020, learned court in seisin over the matter shall expedite the trial.
