This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

Heard Mr. B. Baisakh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners.

The petitioners have filed this writ petition seeking direction to opposite parties no.2 and 3 to pay compensaion amount to the tune of Rs.1,46,20,320/- vide Annexure-3 within a stipulated time and further to issue direction to the opposite parties to pay further compensation amount in lieu of rehabilitation. 4.

Mr. B. Baisakh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners contended that though the compensation amount has been awarded but the same has not been disbursed in favour of the petitioners. On the basis of advocate's opinion, the said amount has been transmitted to the Temple Administration, Shree Jagannath Temple, Puri, which is the owner of the land in question.

Since the petitioners claim for compensation and, as such, the same has been disbursed in favour of Temple Administration,

Shree Jagannath Temple, Puri, which is the owner of the land in question, which has been acquired by the Land Acquisition Officer, Puri, it is open to the petitioners to pursue their remedy before the appropriate forum instead of invoking jurisdiction under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. 6.

With the above observation, the writ petition stands disposed of.
